Hey, I'm Helen ...
Horses have been a constant love in my life for as long as I can remember.
Growing up, I was always the one helping out with friends' horses, finding any opportunity to spend time around them. Although I didn't have horses of my own, my love for them never faded and has remained a constant thread throughout my life.
My path eventually led me into photography, where I discovered a love for storytelling through images. Over the years I've photographed homes, interiors, people, brands and editorial features, always drawn to the moments that feel genuine, meaningful and full of emotion.
Then, quite unexpectedly, horses found their way back into my life.
What began as a conversation during a photoshoot led to an opportunity to work as a stable hand and groom. Before long, I found myself immersed in the daily care of horses—feeding, grooming, mucking stables, assisting with farrier visits, caring for mares in foal and experiencing the rhythm of life around a working horse property.
That experience deepened my understanding of horses in a way I could never have learned from behind a camera alone.
Today, my photography brings together both sides of that journey: a love of visual storytelling and a genuine appreciation for the horse-human connection.
I am drawn to the moments that often pass unnoticed—the quiet trust between horse and rider, the anticipation before entering the arena, the concentration, the joy, the partnership and the emotion that exists both in competition and in everyday life.
My editorial background influences the way I photograph. Rather than simply documenting what is happening, I look for the story within it. The details, atmosphere and moments in between are just as important as the action itself.
Whether I'm photographing you at home, in the paddock, out on a trail, or competing at an event, my goal is always the same: to create imagery that feels authentic, beautiful and deeply connected to your experience.
Because the relationship we share with horses is never just about riding.
It's about connection.
And those are the stories I love to tell.
